Learning and Development Manager – Central London, Hybrid - £50,000
A rapidly growing innovation based business with over 300 employees is looking for a dynamic Learning and Development Manager to join their HR team. This is a newly created position and plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. This L&D Lead role involves creating, implementing, and managing Learning and Development (L&D) strategies, including the introduction and maintenance of a Learning Management System (LMS). The role will also focus on driving employee engagement initiatives to ensure a positive, productive, and inclusive workplace environment.
Please note – the office is based in Central London and offers hybrid working (2 days per week in the office).
Key responsibilities of this Learning and Development Specialist role will include:
Develop and implement a comprehensive Learning and Development (L&D) strategy aligned with organisational goals.
Lead the selection, implementation, and ongoing management of a robust Learning Management System (LMS) to support employee training and development.
Design, curate, and deliver engaging learning experiences, including workshops, e-learning modules, and leadership development initiatives.
Assess learning needs across the organisation and create tailored programs to meet these needs.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of L&D programs, using feedback and data to continuously improve offerings.
Identify external training providers and resources to complement internal programs where necessary.
Working closely with the Head of People Operations and Development to roll out the annual Training Calendar
Line Management of L&D Administrator
In addition – you will work to support employee engagement strategies across the organization:
Design and implement employee engagement strategies that foster a positive work culture and increase employee engagement.
Lead the execution of regular employee engagement initiatives, including Staff surveys, running focus groups, and forums to gather feedback and measure employee sentiment.
Working closely with Corporate Communications Manager to commission employer branding, the Scoop and other internal communications.
Analyse survey results and engagement data to identify trends, key issues, and areas for improvement, reporting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
Develop and deliver programs to improve employee engagement, including team-building activities, organisational events, and internal communications.
This is a broad and varied role – your main focus will be L&D but with a wider remit to include employee engagement.
Salary wise, this role is paying up to £50,000 plus benefits.
