A successful charity is seeking an experienced Head of HR to join its organisation on an initial 1-year fixed-term contract. Based near Woking, the successful candidate will be required to work onsite 5 days per week.
Managing a team of 6, you will provide strong operational leadership across HR, ensuring the team delivers a high-quality, consistent and effective service across the organisation. You will be responsible for delivering the people strategy, implementing performance initiatives, providing expert advice on employee relations matters, and developing and maintaining effective HR policies and procedures. A key focus of the role will be developing and implementing a plan to strengthen and modernise HR services, while improving recruitment processes and employee engagement across the organisation.
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Head of HR with a proven ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level. You will have excellent communication and line-management skills, alongside a strong track record of leading organisational change, managing employee relations matters and driving continuous improvement. A strong understanding of UK employment law is essential, while a CIPD qualification would be advantageous.
