The Ashdown Group has been engaged by a highly successful not for profit organisation, based in Kingston upon Thames, who are seeking a Head of HR to join their incredibly friendly and people focused organisation.
This role reports to the Finance Director and offers the individual the opportunity to influence at Senior and Executive stakeholder level across the business.
On the operational front, you'll ensure an effective HR plan is delivered in line with the business objectives and you will regularly report on the effectiveness of HR strategies, ensuring they correlate with the company needs.
Acting as a key leader in the HR team, the successful candidate will act to ensure an esteemed ethos across the business and lead by example, ensuring the companies’ values are always upheld.
Employee relations will also feature in this role with you being senior contact for grievances, disciplinaries and being a key person to facilitate the annual appraisals. As well as performance reviews, salary reviews, employee surveys and engagement forums which help to ensure the business stays an employer of choice.
You will also work closely with the line managers to coach and provide legislative support and ensure training and development needs are met.
The ideal candidate will have held a senior HR position within the not for profit sector, with a track record of delivery at a strategic level.  In addition, you will likely be CIPD qualified, up to level 7.
The salary on offer is between: £60,000 - £68,000, depending on the experience you bring to the role. In addition to your basic salary, the business offers a fantastic holiday allowance of up to 26 days holidays, increasing up to 28 days with service. In addition, they also offer the chance to secure a great benefits package too including; private medical, pension, option to purchase additional holiday and retail discount vouchers. Finally, they are a highly flexible employer and will consider candidates who would like to adopt a slightly flexible approach with how their hours are made up.
