A well-established membership organisation based in Central London is looking for a Systems Administrator to join the team on a full-time, interim basis for two months.
To be suitable you will need to be available to start the role on or before the 20th October for a two-month period. You will also have experience working either as part of a small IT team or in a standalone IT role.
As the Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for providing expertise in the administration, management, and support activities associated with the IT infrastructure, including server, network, and bespoke applications. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving the organisation’s IT systems and supporting users across the business.
Key responsibilities as the Systems Administrator will include providing 2nd and 3rd line support to users and liaising with third parties to escalate issues where necessary. You will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of server and network infrastructure, responding to security threats and managing vulnerabilities, updating and upgrading bespoke applications, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on digital projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar IT role within an academic, membership, or not-for-profit organisation and be a self-starter with excellent people and communication skills. You will have prior experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, hardware (PCs/printers/scanners/AV equipment), network and server administration, and supporting enterprise applications. Experience with library management systems like Ex Libris Alma and Primo is highly desirable.
The salary on offer is £210 per day.
