A fabulous opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to join an exclusive independent school on the London/Surrey borders. Our client is seeking a highly organised and self-motivated HR professional to work as part of the Senior Leadership team, The role will initially be offered on a 6 month FTC basis with the potential to become permanent and is a wonderful opportunity for someone looking to work for a professional organisation with a supportive and friendly culture. The role is hybrid based with four days onsite - a five min walk from a mainline station with good links into London - and one day a week from home.
The ideal candidate will possess a high level of tact and diplomacy and be strongly aligned with the school ethos. You will be comfortable dealing with all levels of stakeholders and always deliver the highest standards of customer service. As HR Manager you will oversee the work of one other team member and have the ability to prioritise whilst remaining calm and collected. This role is the most senior HR position – reporting directly to the Head so the ideal candidate will be comfortable working at both an operational and strategic level and will possess a broad HR Generalist remit.
The day-to-day responsibilities will involve liaising with department heads and employees in relation to all HR queries and issues, providing coaching in relation to grievances and disciplinaries, overseeing HR analytics and data reporting, employee engagement, L&D, recruitment and succession planning, compensation and benefits, managing the HRIS and all areas of HR compliance.
The ideal candidate must have
• Previously worked at an HR Manger level.
• Be CIPD qualified. (min Level 5)
• A background in the Educational sector would be desirable.
• The highest level of discretion with prior experience of dealing with sensitive information.
• First class written and spoken communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office suite
The role is offered on a 6-month FTC basis with the potential to become permanent and a salary of £65,000. pro rata. This is a hybrid role with one day a week working remotely.
