A reputable charity organisation located in the Stockport area, South Manchester, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their team and be responsible for overall management for the HR department.
This HR generalist role will have both operational and strategic responsibilities with duties to include:

Provide strong leadership and direction to HR Advisors / HR Officer, plus managers across the organisation

Lead on employee engagement, talent management, and workforce planning initiatives

Oversee organisational Learning & Development

Overseeing employee engagement & retention strategies

Lead recruitment strategy

Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organisational goals, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice

Manage the delivery of HR policies and procedures across the organisation

Support line managers with complex employee relations issues and facilitate training programmes

Develop and implement an HR Manual

Manage HR projects, including organisational change, restructuring, and culture development

Maintain a robust HR reporting framework to inform strategic decision-making
This would suit a strong HR Generalist with proven operational HR management experience leading HR initiatives at a senior level. It is essential to have in-depth knowledge of employment law and best HR practices, strong ER and recruitment experience, preferably in the charity or not-for-profit sector, and ideally and relevant degree or CIPD accreditation.
