An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Test Lead to support a major digital transformation programme within a leading specialist financial services organisation.
The transformation programme will replace and enhance core operational, CRM and data management capabilities. The programme includes the implementation of Salesforce, a new data platform, system integrations, workflow automation, data migration and enhanced reporting capabilities, alongside associated operational process changes.
As Business Test Lead, you will establish and manage the business testing workstream, ensuring that business processes, controls, data and operational requirements are fully validated ahead of go-live.
You will act as the key link between business stakeholders, project teams and external implementation partners, providing leadership across User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business readiness testing and business sign-off.
This is a hands-on role ideally suited to someone who combines strong stakeholder management and leadership skills with practical experience of delivering testing within complex financial services transformation programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the UAT workstream as part of the overall programme testing strategy.
Review and challenge supplier testing plans, approaches and methodologies.
Establish appropriate testing governance, controls and reporting arrangements.
Define testing entry and exit criteria.
Develop and manage testing schedules aligned to programme milestones.
Establish and chair a Testing Working Group involving business representatives and project stakeholders.
Provide regular testing status updates to programme governance forums.
Lead all UAT activities, including the development of business scenarios and test scripts.
Define testing scope, coverage and acceptance requirements.
Coordinate and manage UAT resources across multiple business functions.
Ensure comprehensive testing of business processes, controls and requirements.
Monitor testing progress, risks, issues and dependencies throughout the lifecycle.
Validate that delivered functionality meets agreed business requirements.
About You
You will be an experienced Business Test Lead / UAT Lead with a strong track record of delivering business testing within complex transformation programmes.
Essential Experience
Proven experience leading business testing on major transformation programmes.
Strong understanding of User Acceptance Testing methodologies and best practice.
Experience delivering complex system implementations across multiple business areas.
Experience managing testing within supplier-led delivery environments.
Practical experience of data migration validation and reconciliation.
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
