A government body is seeking an experienced Process Improvement Lead to focus on reviewing all operations, processes, procedures and management practices to ensure a safe, efficient and effective Green Spaces service, covering Green Spaces (playground, sports pitches & community facilities), Countryside estates (commons & open spaces) and Cemetery services. Duties will include:

mapping and reviewing all processes and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with the corporate procedures, relevant legislation and industry best practice.

developing and implementing new or improved processes where necessary, working with the team and ICT to better utilise existing digital tools in such processes while also implementing effective data oversight for the service where possible to measure improvements over time.

identifying the necessary training requirements to meet the needs of the processes.

undertaking any other duties related to Green Spaces processes as determined by the Head of Culture, Leisure and Environment.
Based in the Esher area, South West London - some travel to other sites, plus opportunities to work remotely. This is a contract role for initially 12 weeks (36 hours per week) from approximately 20th October and paying £68.12 per hour, less deductions for insurance, taxes and umbrella company charges (PAYE £52.08 per hour). The closing date is Friday, 17th October.
To be suitable for this role, you must have proven experience in a Process Improvement Lead / Project manager or similar role in a complex organisation, ideally in a Borough or Council environment. It is essential to have strong change management, process improvement, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills in a public-facing service, or similar. A project management qualification, such as Prince 2, would be highly desirable, but not essential.
