A well-established and growing international business is looking to appoint a Management Accountant into a key role within its Finance team.
This is a permanent, full-time, office-based position, located at the company’s head office near Wembley, London. This opportunity will suit a driven and detail-oriented finance professional with strong management accounting experience, ideally within a multi-entity or European environment. Candidates must live locally or within a reasonable commuting distance, as the role is fully site-based.
As the Management Accountant, you will play a central role in financial reporting and decision-making across the Group’s UK and European operations. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will support the preparation of monthly management accounts, deliver insightful financial analysis, and help drive business performance by enabling senior leadership to make informed strategic decisions.
You will be responsible for assisting with month-end processes including reconciliations, journal postings (accruals, prepayments, and adjustments), and closing ledgers. The role will also involve preparing VAT returns for UK and European entities, managing weekly cashflow reporting, and supporting the annual audit process by ensuring all required documentation is delivered accurately and on time. In addition, you will collaborate with the wider Finance team to review and improve ERP systems and financial reporting processes, identifying opportunities to enhance automation, accuracy, and efficiency. You will also oversee areas such as staff expenses, credit card spend, sales commissions for payroll, and rebate provisions, ensuring financial controls are maintained and continuously improved.
The successful candidate will be degree-educated in Accounting or Finance and part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), with at least three years’ experience in a management accounting role. Experience working across European entities (such as France, The Netherlands, Germany, or Spain) and an understanding of inventory processes will be highly advantageous. You will be highly organised, analytical, and proactive, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Advanced IT skills, including ERP systems, Excel, and Power BI, are essential, along with the confidence to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
The salary on offer is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum dependent on the level of experience.
