An industry-leading manufacturer is looking for an experienced IT Technician / IT Systems Manager as they look to bring their IT function in-house due to growth. This is an office-based role based in the Gloucester area, Gloucestershjre / Herefordshire borders.
This will be a standalone IT person dealing with 1st & 2nd line issues, with the 3rd party on hand for escalations. The role will cover software, hardware, IT security and compliance, including managing network security, firewalls, and data protection protocols as well as collaborating on IT projects and service improvements.
This role would suit an experienced IT Technician with a strong technical background and proven expertise in resolving complex IT issues. A good knowledge of Windows tech stack is required. Any exposure to IT security best practices, including Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus, would be highly desirable.
