IT Support - 3 month contract inside IR35 - £250 per day
We are working with a growing organisation to recruit an IT Support Engineer to join their expanding internal IT team. This is a hands-on, user-focused role supporting users across multiple sites, with a varied workload covering day-to-day technical support, device management, onboarding and system maintenance.
As an IT Support Engineer, you’ll be a key point of contact for users across the business, providing responsive and professional support and taking ownership of issues through to resolution. You’ll work within a busy helpdesk environment, managing and prioritising tickets, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and network issues and ensuring requests are dealt with within agreed SLAs.
You’ll have a broad remit, from installing and configuring hardware, software and peripherals through to building and preparing computers and mobile devices for new starters. You’ll also support onboarding and offboarding, carry out proactive system maintenance, assist with updates and patching, and maintain accurate technical documentation. You’ll work closely with the wider IT team to escalate and resolve more complex issues where required.
Key Skills & Experience
We’re looking for an IT Support professional with a strong technical foundation and a genuine passion for providing excellent user support. Ideally, you’ll have experience with:
- Microsoft 365
- Microsoft Intune
- Windows Autopilot
- Windows desktop support
- Hardware and software troubleshooting
- Device setup and configuration
- User onboarding and offboarding
- Basic networking, including DNS, DHCP, IP configuration and Wi-Fi troubleshooting
- Helpdesk and ticketing systems
- System monitoring, maintenance and patching
Just as importantly, you’ll be a strong communicator with a customer-focused approach. You’ll be comfortable working in a busy environment, managing competing priorities and explaining technical issues clearly to non-technical users. We’re particularly interested in someone who is proactive, technically curious and keen to continue developing their skills as the IT function grows.
