A leading UK organisation within the logistics and specialist transport sector is looking to appoint an IT Support Engineer to join its established IT department at an exciting time of systems development and digital enhancement.
Please note, this role is fully office based at the organisation’s site in Cheshire. A full driving licence is required, as occasional travel to remote sites may be necessary (travel expenses reimbursed or use of a company vehicle provided where applicable).
As the IT Support Engineer, you will report to the Head of IT and play a key role in delivering responsive, high-quality IT support across the business. This will involve providing 1st and 2nd line helpdesk support, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting both office-based and remote users, including mobile devices and PDAs.
You will assist in maintaining and monitoring the organisation’s IT infrastructure, ensuring high levels of system security, integrity and data control. The role will also involve contributing to IT projects, supporting system improvements, and helping to implement effective technical solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will have at least two years’ experience in a 1st or 2nd line support role, with strong working knowledge of Windows environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, along with a good understanding of networking, router configurations and security fundamentals. Experience with SFTP setups and mobile device support is desirable. You will be organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

The salary on offer is up to £29,500 per annum, plus a discretionary performance-based bonus.
