HR Generalist / Senior HR Advisor – 12 month fixed term contract – City of London, Hybrid - £55,000

A well established, international financial service business (SME) are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Generalist / Senior HR Advisor to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Based in the City of London, this is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to work across a broad range of HR activities within a dynamic and professional environment.

This role would suit a seasoned HR Advisor or HR Generalist who is confident operating across the full employee lifecycle and enjoys partnering closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality HR support.

As a trusted HR partner, you will play a key role in supporting managers and employees across the business. You’ll be involved in both operational and advisory HR work, with a strong focus on employee relations.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing expert advice and guidance to line managers on all HR matters

Managing a range of employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance)

Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes

Assisting with reward, compensation & benefits activities

Driving and supporting performance management processes

Contributing to HR projects, policies, and process improvements

Ensuring HR practices remain compliant with current employment legislation

 

About You

Proven experience in a generalist HR role (HR Advisor / Senior HR Advisor level)

Strong employee relations experience with confidence managing cases end-to-end

Ability to support across multiple HR disciplines including recruitment, reward, and performance

Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build relationships

Ideally experience within financial services or a professional services environment

CIPD qualified or working towards (desirable)
