A well-established law firm based in East London are looking for a HR Advisor / Senior HR Advisor to join their friendly HR team.
Please note – this role offers hybrid working, with two days per week in the office and three days working from home.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on HR generalist who enjoys variety, working closely with managers and getting involved in a broad range of people projects.
Reporting to the HR Director, you will provide a proactive HR service across the business, acting as a trusted adviser to managers and employees. This is a broad role covering the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on employee relations, performance management and supporting the wider people agenda.
Your key responsibilities as HR Advisor / Senior HR Advisor will include advising and coaching managers on a range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance, attendance and flexible working issues. You will support managers through formal processes, provide pragmatic advice on people-related decisions and ensure cases are handled fairly and in line with employment legislation and company policies.
You will also be involved in onboarding and offboarding, performance reviews, learning and development, employee engagement and a variety of HR projects and change initiatives. There will be plenty of opportunity to get involved in improving HR processes, using people data and technology to enhance the employee experience, and supporting the wider HR team.
To be suitable for the role, you will be CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualified with solid generalist HR experience and strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations. You will be confident advising and influencing managers and comfortable working across a broad HR remit. The successful candidate will be personable, approachable and naturally engaging, with the confidence to build strong relationships at all levels. You will be happy to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in, and enjoy working as part of a genuinely friendly, down-to-earth team.
We are open to hearing from candidates from a range of industry sector backgrounds – you do not need to have previous experience within a law firm. We are looking for someone with strong generalist HR experience, the right approach and a genuine interest in working in a varied, hands-on role.
The salary on offer is £50,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience, with the position being offered at either HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor level. A good benefits package and hybrid working are also offered.
