Our client, a successful organisation within the Early Years Education sector is seeking a dynamic and commercially aware Head of People. This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring leader to drive the operational function of People and work with the Leadership Team in developing and shaping strategies, to drive forward the company vision.

 

You will be confident in operating within a changing landscape, with an agile approach and have previously overseen transformation/ acquisition programmes, where you will have supported with your extensive ER knowledge and commercial acumen. Although you will be working at a strategic level this role would also require you to be very hands-on initially, in order to understand the business at grassroots and identify areas which require improvement or enhancement. The organisation has approximately 30 sites, which is likely to increase significantly over the next two years. therefore, the ideal candidate will have previous experience of managing within a multi-site setting.

 

You will be responsible for reviewing policies, as well as improving processes and procedures. Overseeing all areas of safeguarding, recruitment, people analytics and employee relations the Head of People will have a solid knowledge of Employment Law and how it applies within a regulated setting. The role will require you to ensure exceptional standards are met within an inclusive and supportive culture. In order to do this, you will work cross functionally with members of the Leadership Team including Head of Education and Head of L&D, to ensure that best practice is embedded and learning and development plans are aligned with company strategy. 

 

Using all available data, you will develop a clear set of metrics to informed decision making around all areas of HR, therefore, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of people analytics. In addition, the sector is recognised for a highly mobile workforce and therefore you will be skilled in working cross functionally, to develop retention strategies to attract and develop long term employees.

 

The successful candidate will have.

 

Previous experience within a Head of People role - in a multi-site setting

 

Solid knowledge of employment law and commercially aware

 

People mapping experience and strong understanding of people analytics.

 

Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong written skills

 

Able to interrogate data, analyse trends and present to board members.        

          

The salary range on offer for the role is up to £90,000 depending on experience + attractive benefits including share option scheme. The role has huge potential and could be a pathway to the successful candidate becoming People Director, in line with the organisation’s medium term strategy for growth.
