We are seeking an experienced standalone Head of IT to join an established organisation based in central London. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead the organisation’s technology strategy, digital transformation, and operational resilience. The successful candidate will bring comprehensive expertise across CRM, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and cloud-based systems, with a strong focus on infrastructure, security, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI). This is a strategic leadership position responsible for shaping innovative IT initiatives, ensuring robust cyber-security, and leveraging AI-driven automation to optimise service delivery and organisational performance. Reporting to senior management, the Head of IT will act as a trusted advisor, influencing senior stakeholders and driving continuous improvement to support organisational aims.

Define and deliver the organisation’s technology roadmap aligned with strategic objectives.

Lead and manage IT operations, infrastructure, and security arrangements.

Develop, implement, and oversee data governance and information lifecycle management policies.

Identify and adopt emerging technologies, including AI and automation tools, to enhance productivity and innovation.

Manage supplier relationships, procurement activities, and the technology budget.

Ensure compliance with data protection, records management, and cyber security standards.

Lead initiatives to optimise core systems, such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange.

Develop and monitor KPIs and reporting dashboards to support evidence-based decision-making.
Ideally, the candidate will possess extensive experience as a Standalone IT Manager or similar senior technical role, specifically within organisations that utilise Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange environments. Proven capability in overseeing complex technology architectures, implementing AI solutions, managing cyber security risks, and driving digital transformation initiatives is essential. A solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, security frameworks, and data governance policies, coupled with strong stakeholder engagement skills, will distinguish the successful applicant. The ability to manage budgets effectively and maintain productive vendor relationships is also crucial.
