A government body is seeking an experienced Head of HR Operations to lead and develop HR Operations for the organisation, ensuring the function delivers efficient, customer-focused, and digitally enabled services. The role will provide immediate leadership to the HR Operations team, establish performance standards and KPIs, deliver a clear HR Operations service offer, and drive improvement initiatives.
Based in Swindon. This is a contract role for initially 21 weeks (37 hours per week) from approximately 29th October and paying £60.76 per hour, less deductions for insurance, taxes and umbrella company charges (PAYE £45.04 per hour). The closing date is Wednesday, 15th October.
To be suitable for this role, you must have proven experience in a Head of HR, HR Manager, VP of HR Operations or similar role with significant leadership experience in HR Operations or Shared Services in a local authority or complex public sector environment. It is essential to have a strong track record of leading HR teams, improving performance and embedding robust service standards and SLAs. Experience of delivering transformation, analysing workforce resources, managing HR data quality, liaising with stakeholders and understanding public sector audit and compliance requirements.
