Management Accountant - Warrington - £60,000
We are currently working with a respected charity to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to fill a Head of Finance role. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to play a vital part in supporting the charity’s mission through effective financial management, operational oversight, and strategic decision-making.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take primary responsibility for the charity’s financial management. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Board of Trustees, and the Governing Body, providing expert financial guidance and contributing to high-level business decisions that will shape the charity’s future.
A significant part of the role will involve acting as the lead management accountant, developing and maintaining a medium-term strategic financial plan that aligns with the charity’s broader objectives. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure the charity’s financial health and long-term sustainability. Managing payroll services will also be a key responsibility, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external regulations. Additionally, you will regularly review service contracts and agreements to secure value for money and maintain high standards.
Alongside financial management, you will be responsible the charity’s IT and facilities operations. While there are managers in place for both IT and facilities, you will provide strategic oversight to ensure that these areas are aligned with the charity’s overall goals. Your role will involve ensuring that IT and facilities operations support the organisation’s strategic aims, driving efficiency and value for money without direct operational involvement.
