Financial Controller / Project Accountant – Home based - £70,000 plus benefits
A highly successful, international Asset Management company are looking for a commercial Financial Controller or Project Accountant / Senior Management Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the CFO and leading a small team you will be responsible for the management of all project finance, risk and claim management and ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
Please note – this role can be fully remote (home based) or hybrid in the London office.
Key responsibilities of this Financial Controller role will include:
Management of project finances; ensuring the accuracy of cost and pricing calculations and of project finances
Attending commercial project status meetings; creating forecast and cost monitor accordingly
Invoicing according to project progress and contractual terms and ensure proper payment allocation
Ensuring compliance with FRG (Financial Reporting Guidelines) and local GAAP requirements
Assess, respond, monitor, report, escalate all financial and commercial risks, e.g., calculation, tax, insurances, currency
Ensures compliance with relevant tax regulations, e.g., PATAC, NCM, PE management (tax returns, transfer pricing, delegation concepts)
Ensures proper handling of bank accounts including petty cash, if applicable
To be suitable for this Project Accountant role will have the following experience:
Experience of financially controlling external customer projects
Proven experience in Accounting and Controlling, Reporting, Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
Qualified accountant ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent
Process oriented person with strong analytical skills
Exposure to risk management is an advantage
The salary on offer for this role is up to £70,000 plus bonus and benefits.
