A government body is seeking an experienced Head of HR Operations to provide HR support as part of the HR Operations team for the organisation, ensuring the function delivers efficient, customer-focused, and digitally enabled services. Working with the HR Business Partner, duties will include providing advice and guidance to managers and staff, managing people issues (Disciplinary, Grievance...etc.), dealing with trade unions, screening all vacancies, reviewing insight from people data (sickness reporting, grievance numbers...etc.), updating casework database as well as keeping up to date with HR policies and procedures.
Based in Swindon - in the office 2 days per week, including Wednesdays. This is a contract role for initially 20 weeks (37 hours per week) from approximately 24th November and paying £34.70 per hour, less deductions for insurance, taxes and umbrella company charges (PAYE £27 per hour). The closing date is Friday, 21st November.
To be suitable for this role, you must have proven experience in a Senior HR Advisor, (Assistant) HR Business Partner, HR Manager or similar senior HR role, ideally in a local authority or complex public sector environment. It is essential to be a CIPD qualified HR Generalist with significant complex HR casework management experience, including disciplinary, grievance, attendance, well-being, conduct and performance.
