Our client, a successful and thriving modern Accountancy practice, with a very strong ethos around staff development and inclusion, are looking for candidates with previous experience within an Accounting firm to join their friendly and supportive team. Key Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Accountant, you will be supporting the firm’s Client Managers by onboarding new clients, communicating with clients via phone, email and in person, assisting in the preparation and submission of accounts & tax returns for a wide portfolio of clients. Carrying out bookkeeping duties, VAT and CIS returns. Liaising with HMRC to escalate and resolve client queries. Maintaining client files and administration of client records, as well as answering incoming calls and meeting and greeting visitors to the office.
The ideal candidate will have.
Part qualified in ACCA, ACA, CIMA or AAT.
Previous experience of working in an Accountancy practice
Proven experience in accounting and tax preparation.
Confident with Accounting software
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
