A government body is seeking an experienced Administrator / Business Support Assistant to provide a flexible and resilient business support function for the Children's Services department. This role will cover wide range of administration, finance, communication, customer relations, HR, training duties including dealing with safeguarding referrals, managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, managing paper and electronic files, responding to Data Protection Subject Access Requests, updating databases, booking meetings, maintaining supplies as well as general administration tasks such as photocopying, scanning, printing...etc..
Based in the Usk area, South Wales - hybrid after 5 weeks of training. This is a contract role for initially 20 weeks (37 hours per week) from approximately 10 November and paying £17.41 per hour, less deductions for insurance, taxes, and umbrella company charges (PAYE £13.69 per hour). The closing date is Wednesday, 5th November.
To be suitable for this role, you must have experience working in an Administrator, Business Support Officer, Team Secretary or similar role, ideally in a complex organisation, preferably a local Borough or Council. It is essential to have strong IT skills.
