A government body is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to provide budget performance, preparation of the final accounts, and financial advice and support to the Housing, Leisure and Community Support Services of the Council. Duties will include overseeing the budget, preparing revenue estimates and quarterly revenue budget reports, advising on claims to external funding, as well as undertaking authorisation of weekly payment runs, monthly payroll runs, daily BACS files and ad-hoc payments.
Based in the Esher area, SW London - hybrid (2 days in the office). This is a contract role for initially 12 weeks (36 hours per week) from approximately 10th November and paying £53.96 per hour, less deductions for insurance, taxes and umbrella company charges (PAYE £41.93 per hour). The closing date is Monday, 20th October.
To be suitable for this role, you must be a Qualified / Part-Qualified Accountant (Member of a CCAB Body, preferably CIPFA) with significant experience of accounting and budgeting processes and frameworks, ideally in a large complex organisation. The successful candidate will have significant experience working in a financial environment with significant knowledge of external funding regimes / partnerships, organisational policies and financial procedures, as well as the application of CIPFA Codes of Practice. Excellent skills with computerised financial systems, Excel & Word, as well as the ability to analyse complex information to develop financial strategies, is also required.
