Agile Product Manager - Insurance Underwriting
* Day rate up to £800 outside IR35 (initial 6 months)
* 1-2 days a week required in the London office
* Please note you will need to have extensive and recent knowledge of underwriting processes and UI/UX within retail/commercial lines insurance to be considered suitable.
A global and growing Lloyds insurer is looking for a Product Manager to join its underwriting function. This is a great opportunity to join at a time where there is huge modernisation being undertaken and working with a flagship underwriting product/workbench. The role of the Agile Product Manager will be to:
- Own the product throughout lifecycle and representing across the business
- Working with senior stakeholders to create value driven product vision and roadmap
- Ensuring delivery across vision and outcomes
- Maintain product backlog
- Work to add more tooling to the underwriting workbench
- Define sprint goals, sprint backlog and acceptance criteria
- Lead planning sessions
- Delegate delivery responsibilities
- Support project team
To be considered suitable for this Underwriting Product Manager role you will need the following skills/experience:
- Insurance and underwriting technology background (essential)
- Solid background in Agile and product management
- Skills in business analysis and project management
- Excellent senior stakeholder management skills
- Understanding of User Experience (UX/UI) and user journey design
- Understanding of complex business processes
- Insurance and underwriting processes knowledge
This could also suit an experienced Business Analyst/Programme Manager providing you also have Agile background and the required insurance experience.
