Technical Author – Crawley, West Sussex. Commutable from: Epsom, Leatherhead, Reigate, Brighton, Crawley & East Grinstead. A highly respected multinational business is looking for an accomplished Technical Author to join its growing team.
The successful candidate will work alongside a number of experienced Technical Writers on exciting projects and will be responsible for ensuring that technical documentation is clear, concise and easy to read. This will include revising and updating existing documents, as well as creating brand new content for customer help guides, across print, web and eLearning.
Working with enterprise scale products, you will help to create in-depth manuals, endeavouring to present highly complex information in a user-friendly and straightforward fashion. In addition to consummate communication skills and first class attention to detail you will have a proven track record of writing complex documents for a technical or academic audience.
Any experience with FrameMaker, DITA, ePublisher, Eclipse and/or Adobe Acrobat would be advantageous to your application, as would exposure to e-learning tools such as Captivate and Articulate. Candidates from a scientific / mathematical / academic background who have demonstrable experience developing highly technical documents would also be welcome to apply.
