Systems Engineer - London, Hybrid
*This is an not an IT Engineering role*
You will be part of the Technologies directorate enabling a greener, more sustainable, more resilient, and effective transport systems fit for the future movement of goods and people. The key aims for the role are to stimulate innovation in the transport sector , develop new transport markets, support the transition to new transport systems and maintain the UK’s position as world leading innovator, decarbonizing transport for the benefit of the society
This role will work collaboratively across the company and within industry to shape and deliver projects that enable the development of future transport leading to regional and national economic growth.
As a systems engineer you will also:
- Provide technical contributions to projects by leading Work Packages pertaining to everything from engineering design, materials, equipment, worker requirements, health and safety etc.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Technical Leads and other systems engineers to deliver project outputs.
- Contribute to impactful analysis and reports.
- Assist in bidding activity by identifying new opportunities where possible.
Requirements:
- Relevant engineering or physical sciences discipline or equivalent experience.
- Ideally you will have experience in one or all of the following domains: Air Mobility, Maritime, Rail, Logistics, Integrated Infrastructure, Roads, Places e.g. airports, ports, train stations.
- Proven experience working with a variety of stakeholders.
- Excellent data analysis skills.
This role offer hybrid working, two days from the office and three from home and a 9 day fortnight for everyone - full company shutdown every other Friday
