A role has become available for a Systems Engineer to join one of the UKs largest construction firms. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a wide range of technologies and will play a key role in driving the group's IT function forward. There will be the opportunity to be involved in large scale projects and the research and piloting of new technology.
This role would be great for someone who enjoys working autonomously and as part of a team and will draw on the individuals stakeholder engagement skills.
You will be responsible for the company's IT strategy and planning by assisting with systems design and developing policies and procedures. You will provide an escalation point for support in configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting where needed and interact and negotiate with vendors to secure products and services.
Operationally you will be responsible for:
The management of the server environment and security solutions.
Management of the network of hardware and equipment including routers, switches and ensure connectivity of all endpoints.
The monitoring and testing of system performance and the provision of reports to the wider team.
Skills required:
Windows server, VMware and datacentre experience
Strong Microsoft Azure knowledge
Confidence providing 3rd line support.
Previous experience running projects would be a bonus.
This role is offering up to £50,000 and hybrid working for the successful candidate.
