Systems Administrator – South West London, Clapham
A highly successful and growing SME based in South West London are looking for an experienced and personable Systems Administrator or Senior IT Engineer to support their user base, IT infrastructure, network and databases. This is a fantastic opportunity for a credible and knowledgeable IT professional to join an established business operating as a market leader in their field.
Reporting to the IT Manager you will get involved in all aspects of IT; everything from database support, operating systems, hardware, software, networking and a range of progressive IT projects. You will be joining a small, dedicated IT team and the nature of this role means you must be comfortable acting as an escalation point and resolving more complex support requests but equally will be happy supporting users across day to day support issues.
This role would suit an experienced Infrastructure Engineer, 3rd Line Support Engineer, IT Engineer or Systems Administrator that enjoys a broad and varied role. If you have a background within a similar SME environment that would be useful, although not essential. This role will be varied and will offer you the opportunity work across all areas of IT, taking real ownership of technical issues raised and making a significant impact on the IT service provided to the wider business.
Essential skills required:
Hands-on experience of installation, support, and maintenance of:
Microsoft SQL Server; server administration backup and restore of databases
Office 365 / Azure hybrid environment
Networking including switches, routers, and firewalls

Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering improvements to IT systems
Ability to explain complex technical systems for non-technical users
Experience of working to deadlines and within budget constraints
