A multinational professional services firm with a large technology estate is looking for a SolarWinds Orion Administrator to join its team on an initial 3 month contract. In this role you will be able to work entirely from home.
In order to be suitable for this role you must have proven experience with the following:
- Strong SolarWinds Orion administration skills including modules NPM, SAM, VMAN and SRM
- Experience with creating advanced dashboard using SWQL queries and using SWQL Studio
- Defining and refining rules and alerts
- Strong SQL and SWQL query language experience; ideally, strong understanding of the Orion database schema
- Good PowerShell script skills; ideally experience with using Orion’s SDK and PowerShell Orion module
- Good Windows Server skills; ideally experience with troubleshooting WMI related issues
In this role you will be focused on a ‘clean-up’ project to get their SolarWinds environment into a usable and operational state. Clean-up tasks will include:
- Adding Windows servers into SolarWinds
- Troubleshooting and resolving WMI related issues
- Custom property tagging and clean-up
- Assisting with upgrade to Orion 2020.2
- Creation of new and clean-up of existing custom dashboards
