A professional, healthcare regulation company are looking for a Scrutiny Officer to join the Performance Review team on a nine month fixed term contract.
Please note – hybrid working is offered – 3 days per week in the office based in Central London and 2 days at home.
As the Scrutiny Officer you will lead the annual performance review process for one or two regulators, making assessments against the Authority’s Standard of Good Regulation.
Your key responsibilities as Scrutiny Officer will include planning the annual review of one or two regulators – including identifying relevant evidence sources and methods for collecting these. You will lead on the evidence gathering, leading audits and meetings with regulator staff and complete analysis of the regulator’s performance based on gathered evidence. You will present recommendations to an internal panel, develop, and manage relationships with senior staff, develop a strong understanding of regulators legislation, identify areas for improvement and draft performance review reports, taking the lead on subsequent discussions.
The ideal candidate will have experience within a similar role and will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to identify, collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative information, strong report-writing skills for internal and external audiences and experience planning and leading an annual cycle of work. You will be able to work collaboratively and will be able to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
The salary on offer is up to £44,000 per annum pro rata plus benefits including 32.5 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) pro rata.
