The Ashdown Group has been commissioned by The Royal Foundation and The Earthshot Prize to identify a meticulous Research Manager to join their team. As a truly global and inclusive organisation, applications are welcome from candidates based internationally.

The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge unites people to tackle some of today’s biggest challenges. They recognise that when people come together, they can achieve great things and they use their passion and unique influence to make a lasting difference on the issues that matter most to society. The Earthshot Prize is a not-for-profit start-up which currently sits within The Royal Foundation and will spin out to become an affiliated independent organisation in 2022.

The Earthshot Prize (TEP) aims to be the most prestigious global environment prize in history, designed to incentivise change and help repair our planet over the next ten years. The mission is to unleash urgent optimism and action through storytelling and spotlighting eco-innovators around the world, and to accelerate & scale their eco-innovations to repair and regenerate our planet. TEP is a collaborative platform of partnerships all united in moving with speed, and at scale, in this decisive decade.

As an accomplished Research Manager you will ensure that the Prize is underpinned by best in class research, data, evidence and impact analysis. Working across the entire organisation you will often have a unique insight into ways to create connections, enable collaboration and accelerate opportunities.

You will build up a body of ongoing research into the five Earthshots, ensuring that the team is up to speed on all emergent research, trends and developments. You will carry out research to map the ecosystem of each Earthshot, mapping solutions, investors, donors, and institutional and policy actors. You will contribute to the development and implementation of the overarching partnership development strategy and will help to identify and bring together support for finalists, enabling the team to accelerate the scaling of successful solutions.

To be suitable for this role you must have demonstrable expertise in synthesizing, analysing and visualizing complex and diverse data sets and in creating meticulously researched, robust and engaging reports. You will have proven experience as a research analyst and a passion for environmental and climate-related research and storytelling – your superpower is the ability to translate complex data into compelling presentations and actionable insights. Experience analysing strategic partnerships, market landscapes and capital fundraising would be preferred.

You will exemplify the values of transparency, collaboration, inclusion, curiosity and kindness, and will have the opportunity to make a profound contribution to the growth and development of a truly inspiring charity with a transformative global vision.
