A well-established global business is looking for an ambitious fully qualified Accountant to join its accounts team, based in central London. This is a fixed term contract for initially 6 months, however there is a chance this may be extended for the right candidate.
Working closely with the Financial Controller, 2 other Accountants and 1 Senior Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for daily accounting (65%), reporting (25%) and year-end audit, statutory accounts preparation, VAT/tax return prep (10%).
In order to be suitable for this role, you MUST be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA) with approximately 3+ years’ post-qualification experience. It is essential to have good knowledge of international accounting standards, experience of statutory accounts, tax and VAT return preparation as well as at least intermediate level MS Office skills. The ideal candidate will also have some experience in a Japanese firm with knowledge of multiple currencies, IFRS and UK GAAP and SAP, however these are not essential.
