A leader in UK innovation has embarked upon an exciting new project focused on the way people live, work and travel. The role will work to lead a two-year innovation programme in the West Midlands and aim to grow the region's clean tech, health tech and med tech markets helping to drive economic growth and accelerate SMEs within the region.
The purpose of this role will be the lead partner in a collaborative research and development programme of activities working with a cross-consortium of partners to achieve it's goals. You will be responsible for leading the day-to-day management of the programme and demonstrate a return on investment to key stakeholders.
This is a unique opportunity within a newly created team, intended to drive social and economic impact. You will work with the Programme Lead to ensure stakeholder expectations are well managed and the programme's outcomes are well publicised.
Main responsibilities include;
Planning and defining the programme and proactively monitoring its progress.
Developing and implementing the programmes governance framework.
Managing and resolving any programme level risks.
Maximising the efficient allocation of resources and skills within the projects.
Skills required for shortlisting:
Proven ability to manage complex programmes within both public and private sectors.
Thorough understanding of the principles of programme and project management.
Confident communication skills.
Extensive stakeholder engagement skills.
