An independent accountancy practice based in the heart of Winchester, Hampshire is seeking a Practice Accountant to join their team due to the business experiencing a period of growth! For this role, you will be personable, and confident, have prior practice experience, and be detail-oriented.
For this role, ideally, you must have solid experience working in an accounts practice. This role is based onsite 5 days a week and benefits include a company profit share scheme, 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and assistance with future studies. Parking is available onsite.
As a Client Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing management accounts; preparing sole trader, partnership, and limited company accounts; submitting VAT returns; preparing cashflow forecasts; liaising with clients and being responsible for client portfolios; reviewing junior team members' work; working with purchase order systems and accounting software. This role will have you responsible for between 10-20 clients as a manager with a turnover reaching up to multiples of millions of pounds, however, please note that they are all below audit level.
To be considered, you must have proven experience working within an accountancy practice, have worked with either Xero, Synergist, Float, or BTC, and have strong written and verbal communication skills. My client will be happy to consider either fully, part-qualified, or qualified experienced candidates. An AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an accountancy-related degree would be beneficial but not essential to your application. Please note, that my client's most essential criteria for this role is practice experience.
