A government body is seeking an experienced Portfolio Repair Surveyor to plan and manage repairs and maintenance, and schedule of rates across the housing association. Duties will include preparing basic construction drawings & draft specifications, delivering planned maintained.
Based in the Sutton area, South London. This is a contract role for initially 12 weeks (36 hours per week) from approximately 6th October and paying £82.90 per hour, less deductions for insurance, taxes and umbrella company charges (PAYE £62.86 per hour). The closing date is Thursday, 2nd October.
To be suitable for this role you must have proven experience in a Building Surveyor, Property Surveyor, Repairs & Maintenance Surveyor, Housing Surveyor, Property Service Manager or similar role with an understanding of traditional and modern construction practices, best practice, and associated Regulation. Experience will include:

property maintenance in housing including property inspections, diagnosing common property defects and supervising work of contractors

delivering planned maintenance programmes

understanding of Housing, Health & Safety Rating Guidance (HHSRS: repairs and maintenance, and schedule of rates)

monitoring budgets
It is essential to have a higher-level technical qualification (e.g. HND/C) in building surveying or relevant subject.
The ideal candidate will also have experience in partnerships with Social Housing Provider
