Payments & Credit Control Manager - £50,000pa

A well-established home services group with a portfolio of trusted household brands is seeking a Payments & Credit Control Manager to join the business.

Please note, this role will be fully office-based at the organisation's office in the Lambeth area of South London, with excellent transport links.

As the Payments & Credit Control Manager, you will play a key role within a small, collaborative finance team, overseeing franchisee payments and leading the credit control function. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will manage one direct report and be responsible for ensuring accurate payment processing, effective credit control and strong financial controls across the business.

Your key responsibilities as Payments & Credit Control Manager will include managing franchisee payment queries, reviewing and validating high-volume timesheets, ensuring accurate settlement processing, investigating billing queries and applying authorised deductions. You will maintain strong controls through daily bank reconciliations, supporting documentation and accurate audit trails, oversee accounts receivable and cash collection activity, manage outsourced debt management and provide accurate reporting to Finance and Operational teams. You will also identify opportunities to improve processes, support system changes and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and franchisees.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within a semi-senior finance role with strong credit control exposure, ideally within a high-volume transactional environment. You will have experience reviewing financial transactions, excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working with franchise networks, field-based workforces or similar operational environments would be advantageous, as would experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. You will have advanced Excel skills, strong organisational abilities and the confidence to support and develop team members.

The successful candidate will enjoy working within a hands-on finance environment, be comfortable managing competing priorities and take ownership of processes while supporting continuous improvement across the finance function.

The salary on offer for this role is up to £50,000 per annum and a benefits package which includes 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays, birthday day off, life assurance, pension scheme and an on-site gym.
