A well-established construction organization located near Islington, with a rich history spanning over 35 years, is currently in search of a skilled, personable, and detail-oriented part-time Payroll Clerk with a background in construction. This role holds a standalone position and requires onsite presence for a minimum of 3 days a week (Monday to Wednesday), with some flexibility in working hours.
In this role, you will take on the sole responsibility of managing payroll for more than 70 staff and 75 subcontractors. The organization is currently undergoing an exciting modernization project, demanding adaptability and versatility. The core working days for this role are Monday to Wednesday, as timesheet processing occurs on Mondays and payment processing on Wednesdays. Additional workdays might be available, and you will also play a role in managing pensions.
To be eligible for consideration, a minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Payroll Clerk is required, coupled with a working background in the Construction Industry, as well as proven Construction Industry Deductions (CIS) knowledge, and return VAT experience. Proficiency in using Sage accountancy software is also a prerequisite.
