A government body is seeking an experienced Operations Manager - Repairs to lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the council’s repairs service. Duties will include managing large-scale repairs across housing and corporate assets, overseeing staffing, budgets and equipment, as well as leading procurement and management of maintenance contracts.
Based in the Swindon area, Wiltshire - 1 day per week from home. This is a contract role for initially 24 weeks (37 hours per week) from approximately 3rd November and paying £70 per hour, less deductions for insurance, taxes and umbrella company charges (PAYE £51.89 per hour). The closing date is Friday, 17th October.
To be suitable for this role, you must have proven experience in an Operations Manager role responsible for leading operational teams and managing high-value budgets in a housing or local authority setting. It is essential to demonstrate strong knowledge of building construction, property maintenance, and housing standards.
