On-site IT Support Engineer - London - £35,000

A well-established IT services provider is seeking a fully onsite IT Support Engineer to provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for a key medium-sized client based in Central London, close to St Jame’s Park.  This IT support role is paying up to £35,000.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality end-user support, resolving hardware and software issues, escalating where appropriate, and assisting with network, hardware, and software installations, configuration, and troubleshooting. You will also maintain accurate documentation of support requests, resolutions, and system configurations while delivering an excellent customer experience.
 
This role would suit a proactive IT professional who genuinely enjoys supporting end users, takes ownership of issues from start to finish, and is comfortable working independently as the dedicated on-site IT resource.
 
Essential skills and experience:
  • Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills, with a proactive and methodical approach
  • First-class verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
  • A helpful, enthusiastic, and approachable attitude, with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional end-user support with a customer-first approach
  • The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and remain calm under pressure
  • Some experience providing 1st and 2nd line IT support, ideally in a standalone IT support role for an SME (up to circa 200 users), with the confidence to manage and prioritise workloads independently
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365 (Office, Exchange, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint), Active Directory, Windows Server, iOS devices (iPhone/iPad), basic Mac support, and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPN and DNS)
 
Desirable skills:
  • Interested in end-user support career
  • Experience within an MSP environment, preferably on-site support
  • Experience supporting Sage 50
  • Experience with AV equipment and meeting room technology
