The role of a Second Line Infrastructure and Network Engineer is to support the charities technical roadmap to deliver a secure cloud-based environment capable of supporting a large, diverse work force for a dynamic and growing organisation. Security is crucial and the role is expected to provide guidance and support towards adopting best practice.  The role will be expected to provide and lead on technical direction.
 
Duties will include:
 
Ensure the security of company data by identifying risks and issues and ensuring adherence to technical and security standards / principles
Monitor and proactively support the organisations infrastructure
Problem resolution utilising data escalated from the support desk
Proactively provide system guidance and documentation for the department
Hands on implementing solutions and support the infrastructure lead engineer to technically guide teams during development and deployment of solutions
About you
 
To be a Second Line Infrastructure Engineer, the following are essential:
 
Experience of supporting and monitoring Microsoft Azure networks and implementing best practice security guidelines. 
Experience of managing multiple networks using VPNs.
Experience of managing multiple servers and applications.
Motivated to learn and develop IT skills for personal and organisational benefit
Ability to work under pressure and support the Infrastructure Lead Engineer
 
The salary on offer is up to £32,000 plus benefits.
