We are seeking a Network Engineer to be responsible for the support and maintenance of a client’s enterprise network infrastructure. Reporting into the Network Engineering Manager the role holder will have a thorough understanding of the company’s technologies and systems as well as be able to understand both the business and technical requirements for new products that will be engineered and implemented by the group. This is an office based role at the company's central London offices (City).
Primary responsibilities:
- Day to day technical support of network infrastructure at data centres and at the office premises, ensuring a high level of efficiency in problem resolution and uptime
- Monitor network performance and integrity; analyse trends and SLAs
- Troubleshoot/issue management of network infrastructure
- Perform network maintenance, upgrades and refreshes
Skills and experience required:
- A minimum of 5 years Network Engineering experience in a corporate environment and performing exempt-level duties
- Exhibiting analytical and critical thinking in day-to-day tasks
- Proven ability to design, implement, and support complex LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data centre networks
- Expert knowledge of Cisco or equivalent enterprise networking platforms, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and EtherChannel
- Strong understanding of network security principles, firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), VPNs, and network segmentation
- Experience with enterprise Wi-Fi design and troubleshooting (Aruba, Cisco, or similar), including
authentication (802.1X, RADIUS)
