An innovative not for profit organisation management company promoting business based in Kingston upon Thames, South West London, is seeking a Marketing Assistant to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.
The role is based in the offices in Kingston upon Thames (with 2 or 3 days a week working from home) and is paying up to £24,000 plus benefits including 26 days holiday (plus bank holidays!)
You will be responsible for managing they company’s social media channels, conceptualising campaigns, creating social media posts, and analysing analytics, as well as managing and maintaining the website and consumer website. You will have excellent time management and organisational skills. You will be aware of and keep abreast of industry innovations and trends in the social media landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, capture and deliver the day-to-day social media content across social channels, which may include taking relevant videos and photos and visiting businesses to gather content
- Update website with content such as town centre events, offers, news and blogs
- Assist in the development, delivery and evaluation of all online and social campaigns
- Assist with content for our member and consumer e-newsletters
- Contribute to the evaluation of our e-communications and make and implement recommendations for improvement
- Assist in the implementation of consumer focused marketing campaigns to encourage engagement, footfall and spend in Kingston town centre
- Provide support on the delivery of events and activities in the town centre
- Assist in the delivery of communication strategies and plans that support local members and promote Kingston First’s work and influence in the town centre
- Build relationships with local businesses and ensure information is promoted and communicated through the appropriate channels
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
- Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills, able to engage with colleagues, businesses, journalists and stakeholders at all levels and build trusted relationships
- Ability to prioritise and manage different projects simultaneously, with a proven track record of delivering against agreed timescales
- Experience of evaluating projects and activities desirable
- Ability to write creative, clear, succinct and engaging copy and use the appropriate tone of voice for specific audiences
- Competent with the Microsoft Office package. Familiarity with Google suite (Documents, Sheets, Slides etc)
- Can commute/travel to Kingston town centre
