Based near Earlsfield/Wimbledon, an accountancy practice is expanding its footprint and requires an additional Management Accountant to join their team. Already employing a team of 40 professionals they offer forward-thinking solutions to a wide range of multi-disciplined customers.

By utilising the latest cloud-based solutions and a modern work formula, they provide services to meet the increasing needs of SME businesses; they provide accounting support beyond statutory annual accounts.

At this vibrant and fast-growing practice, close to Wimbledon Park station on the District Line (and with on-site parking), you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients across a range of industries; ensuring records are maintained with comprehensive accuracy.

As a Management Accountant, you are responsible for delivering client advisory work in the Small Business Unit, attending meetings, providing narratives on management accounts and reviewing year-end work. You will manage your own workload to ensure that you deliver to deadlines and against client expectations.

Your responsibilities, in brief, will include:

Acting as Point of Contact - Working directly with clients, you will be the main point of contact. You will build strong relationships by attending client meetings and occasionally working from their offices.

Management Accounts - You will produce management accounts and management information that you and the team will deliver to the clients’. You will use integrated cloud technology platforms, such as Xero, to produce reports. You will need to provide information on dividends and common tax planning, as well as review and prepare working papers.

Improvements - You are expected to contribute to the introduction of new service lines. You will create processes and systems that deliver excellence, as well as develop and enhance existing products to add further value.

Share knowledge - You will help to mentor the junior accounting team, ensuring they have a well-rounded and clear understanding of accounting processes and each client business.

To be suitable for this role you will need to demonstrate all of the following:

  • Production of management accounts for multiple companies 
  • Proven technical knowledge and understanding of key processes
  • Part or fully ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified
  • Use of cloud-based finance systems, plus Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Confident communication skills, both written and oral

This is an opportunity to progress to a senior position with increased responsibility. The starting basic salary for a Management Accountant with the above experience is between £40,000 and £50,000.  This salary can rise in line with the delivery of your performance objectives.
