Legal Billing Coordinator

Legal Billing Coordinator wanted for a multi award winning law firm in the heart of Bath, offering hybrid working and excellent progression opportunities.

You would be part of the Billing team, where you will take responsibility for a Billing Assistant, providing support, helping develop them and supervising their performance.  In addition  you will work closely with the billing manager to help develop and grow the Billing Department.

To be successful you must have had:

Some experience in legal billing or invoicing, have e-billing experience and demonstrate a professional attitude, excellent organisational skills and ability to manage your workload effectively.  You will also be IT literate with good Excel skills and be an excellent communicator who demonstrates team spirit and is happy to work collaboratively.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a first point of contact for queries and request from lawyers in the UK and Europe.
  • Organising and distributing monthly billing workload i.e.. WIP reports, amending WIP, drafting & finalising bills, assisting paralegals with billing enquiries.
  • Managing e-billed clients i.e. uploading of LEDES files & bills, onboarding new e-billed clients, managing client invoices & client rates, invoice rejections and queries
  • Oversee the compliance of internal billing procedures
  • Liaise with clients and the internal accounts team
  • Manage disbursements
  • Undertake cost analysis work - Produce reports monitoring WIP and billed fees to ensure compliance with budgets, Assist in preparation of costs estimates, budgets and monitoring compliance and statement of costs.

The Billing team is a growing part of the business and the opportunity here to develop and grow and work alongside an inspiring manager and mentor is  a great one.  Starting salary is up to £30,000 plus they offer bonus and extensive benefits package.  Hybrid working is on offer for 2 days per week.
