An established and renowned industry leader is seeking an ambitious Lead Java Developer to join their growing team based in London. This is a contract role for initially 6 months and paying £650 per day.
 
The successful candidate will be the senior developer in a small software development team responsible for developing and maintaining a range of Java / Java-syntax applications (enterprise integration and data processing functions) used to transfer and transform large volumes of data across the UK enterprise. This role will include a large amount of hands-on coding and support of groovy script applications, enhanced enterprise data messaging and service architecture as well as enterprise integration.
 
In order to be suitable for this role you must have experience in a Senior Java Developer, Lead Java Programmer, Software Team Leader or similar role with experience working on enterprise-grade projects with some exposure to integrations with 3rd party and internal middleware products.
 
Essential skills required include:
  • Java 8
  • Spring/ Springboot
  • CI/CD - Jenkins/ Gitbased
  • JavaScript
  • Experience designing APIs/Services
  • Experience of building apps involving data manipulation
  • Experience working with databases including MongoDB
  • Seniority/experience, good comms skills, team-oriented disposition
 
The ideal candidate will also have some exposure to:
  • Data streaming/messaging arch (Kafka/ ActiveMQ / Apache Storm)
  • Mule ESB (or similar ESB runtime)
  • Apache Lucene / Exposure to ELK or TIG stacks
 
 
This is an excellent opportunity in a large reputable business with a strong technical stack and large development programme.
