An established and renowned industry leader is seeking an ambitious Lead Java Developer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will lead a small software development team responsible for developing and maintaining a range of Java / Java-syntax applications (enterprise integration and data processing functions) used to transfer and transform large volumes of data across the Uk enterprise. This role will include a large amount of hands-on coding and support of groovy script applications, enhanced enterprise data messaging and service architecture as well as enterprise integration.
In order to be suitable for this role you must have experience in a Senior Java Developer, Lead Java Programmer, Software Team Leader or similar role with experience working on enterprise-grade projects with some exposure to integrations with 3rd party and internal middleware products. Experience with Spring framework, Springboot deployment, SQL / RDBMS, XML/JSON, REST API integration, CI/CD practices and Agile software development is essential. The ideal candidate will have some exposure to the MuleSoft ESB, but this is not essential. Some experience of mentoring, leading or supervising other developers would be very beneficial.
