This is a fantastic trainee/graduate opportunity for someone with a real interest in software or web technologies to join an exciting business that provide software for global sporting events.
With full training you will provide IT Support to major global sports events and you will play a key role in helping to deliver multiple projects for global clients in the sports and events industries. The primary role will be configuration of the company’s software. You will be discovering customer needs and formulating solutions; attending events and customer sites; providing quotes; providing user training and support docs; installing and configuring temporary equipment; monitoring equipment performance during events; delivering post event follow ups or providing on-site support.
The company software tracks the attendees and assets of an event to enable the smooth running, security and free movement of events staff, customers and equipment.
To be considered for the role, you will have a genuine interest in web technologies - perhaps developing websites or software at home. If you have any previous IT Support experience that would be of interest but not essential. The primary responsibility of the role will be the installing, configuring and customising of bespoke event software and technology and attending the event to report on the performance of the software. As you will be customer-facing, you will require strong communication skills and be customer-focused.
The role requires travel to site and occasional global travel so you will need a driving license and valid passport. As you will be supporting the events, you will be away from home around 5 times a year for periods of 1-2 weeks.
