The Ashdown Group has been commissioned by The Royal Foundation and The Earthshot Prize to identify a Junior Designer, Creative & Content to join their rapidly expanding team.
The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge unites people to tackle some of today’s biggest challenges. The Earthshot Prize is a not-for-profit start-up which currently sits within The Royal Foundation but will spin out to become an affiliated independent organisation in 2022.
The Earthshot Prize is the most prestigious global environment prize in history, designed to incentivise change and help repair our planet over the next ten years. The Prize aims to turn the current pessimism surrounding environmental issues into optimism by highlighting the ability of human ingenuity to bring about change and inspire collective action.
To deliver this audacious vision, TEP is now seeking an imaginative and passionate Junior Designer, Creative & Content who can work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional, insight informed, magical creative for The Earthshot Prize brand.
You will be a strong collaborator and deliver well-crafted, innovative and creative content ensuring design and visual excellence for this high-profile global brand. You are curious about finding and telling stories and confident in delivering innovative and engaging creative for multiple channels of distribution. You have a passion for creativity and are proficient in working across several mediums including content strategy, art direction, content design and creation, moving image, graphics and digital content design.
Working in partnership with the Senior Designer, Creative & Content you will develop the everyday visual direction - upholding excellence, ambition, and team spirit. You will deliver best-in-class photography, video content, digital and experience design in service of the TEP Brand and the Eco-Innovator. You will develop and maintain relationships with photographers, filmmakers, illustrators, designers, and their agents and craft briefs for photo/video shoots and art direct content needs ensuring the end product is always on-brand, diverse, dynamic and resonates with the target audience.
In order to be suitable for this role you must have proven experience in graphic design and art direction in a branded content, agency, editorial or marketing environment. You will have a passion for brand guardianship and an eye for best-in-class design, allied to an impressive portfolio of creative work, exhibiting a seasoned background in digital and editorial design. Your areas of expertise will include all aspects of layout, typography, illustration, identity, digital production and publishing across editorial formats and platforms. You will also possess a thorough understanding of today’s media landscape and how people engage with content, with in-depth knowledge of interactive communication, processes and user-interface design for digital products.
