A successful manufacturing company with a global reputation is looking for an IT Support Engineer to be based in the Rochester area, Kent (commutable from parts of South East London).
The successful candidate will be part of a small IT team responsible for providing 1st, 2nd and some 3rd line technical support (software, hardware and networking) for approximately 300 users in the UK. In addition to business as usual support there will be the opportunity to work with the Systems Administrator / IT Manager on high end 3rd line issues as well as various planned IT projects.
In order to be suitable for this position you must have experience working in an IT Support Technician, Systems Engineer, Senior Desktop Analyst, Technical Support Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or similar 1st / 2nd line IT support role. It is essential to have broad technical knowledge including Windows 7 / 10, Active Directory, MS Office, Windows 2008 Server, Exchange & general networking (LAN, WAN & patch management – Cat 5). The ideal candidate will also be MCSE certified with some exposure to SQL Server and MDM, although these are not essential.
