A highly successful Fintech business with a passion for technology and product innovation is looking for an accomplished IT Support Engineer (2nd & 3rd line) to be solely responsible for ensuring high-availability for the cloud desktop and infrastructure environment. This is a largely office-based role located in the City, London.
Reporting directly to the Head of Technology, and working alongside a small high-performance technology team (focussed on the client products), you will provide a proactive systems, network and user support service to circa 100 employees.
In order to be suitable for this role of significant responsibility, you must have proven experience in a Senior Desktop Support, Lead IT Support Engineer, Standalone IT Manager or similar senior IT support role. It is essential to have a strong academic track record and advanced technical knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory (Group Policies), Open VPN, Powershell and Windows batch scripting, software packaging and testing (MSI deployment), Exchange / O365 as well as general networking (routers, switches, firewalls and DNS). Proven experience with IT projects such as email migration and phone system upgrade is also required. The ideal candidate will have experience with Mac support, automation, Git, Linux Debian, Google Workspace, Sophos EDR and Cisco Umbrella.
This opportunity would suit a driven and proactive candidate with experience of delivering IT projects and multiple performance improving initiatives. The role is paying £50,000 - £70,000 depending on experience.
